Chris the dog trainer!/Trimming equipment

For the last few months I have been helping at the puppy class where I go to train Tallie and Jasper. It's lovely as I get to see all the lovely puppies. I also take Jasper to another class with a different club. At this club, I was asked if I would like to instruct a class in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award. So, tonight they took their test and I'm really chuffed to say that I had 100 per cent pass.. No mean feat given that all the dogs were adolescents!

Now I need to work hard with Jasper to get him through his silver.

Editors Note: Very well done Chris and the doggies.

I have to share this with you all. Some of you may already know about these.

This year I decided to treat myself to a really good set of dog clippers (Swiss) which are cordless and aren't cheap. So a lot of people would probably not want to fork out that sort of money. But I wanted the best finish I could get as I still think I'm cheating by not hand stripping. Unfortunately my hands have started to freeze, whilst pulling the hair, so I have no choice.

Then I was told about these little cordless clippers (see above) which aren't at all expensive. So I ended up buying these as well as the expensive ones. They are brilliant at trimming the ears and sanitation areas! I've yet to test out the expensive ones but I'm so thrilled at having new equipment as I've been struggling along with my old clippers for quite some time. The clippers shown above also come with a steel comb and scissors! A really good buy.

I've also ordered a pair of chunkers thinning scissors. I'm still waiting for those to come. I can't wait to put all these things to the test. Hoping to have two smart pirates before Christmas!
